the latest patches To play online on Gamespy Arcade you need version 3239 for VP3DL or version 3099 for VP3 Jeanette's
If you have the original Curly CD you don't need a patch to play opponents with version 3099.

VP3 Gold May 2007: The latest on the next generation of Virtual Pool

"I don't have anything new to show you on VP3 Gold. Progress has been slow lately because of other commitments." says Celeris developer Steve Chaplin. "We are trying to get a console deal going which would really help with the VP3 Gold pace."
Looks like we have to continue playing the original VP3 for some more time, before we can run the first rack in VP3 Gold.
VP3 Gold is the long expected next generation of Virtual Pool. There is no official release date yet.
If you have suggestions for new features to add to the next generation of VP3, you can post them on the Celeris forums (Registration required)

VP3 News March 2008: VP3Help.com changes to VP3Gold.com

VP3Help.com is becoming VP3Gold.com. For a grace period until Mid May 2008 both sites will be online. After that VP3Gold will be the only site.
For easier maintenance we had to remove some of the features. Patch alert will not be available any more. Sorry for that!
We also removed the links to the VPHQ tournament system, because we can't promote "- a bunch of power trippin pansys tryin to push around people -" (quoting one of their TDs about his peers)

February 2008: Celeris updates on new installer and VP3Gold

It looks like pretty soon it will be easier for VP3 newbies to connect online to Gamespy. Celeris is testing a new installer that will let Gamespy automatically detect the DL version of the game. Let's hope that works out well.

Per Steve Chaplin "not much work has happened on VP3Gold as of late".
Celeris are still looking for sponsors. Right now they are considering to just upgrade VP3DL to better graphics and add whatever else was modified. The biggest issue for nextgen will be online play.
Celeris are still working on getting that done: "Just the finances have to be right".

January 2007: Forums moved to Celeris site The VP3 foreign language forums have moved to the Celeris site:

Steve also pulled some of the help articles from the VP3 Help Board and uploaded them as stickies to Celeris. The VP3 Help Board is closed for now.

December 2006: New patch 3239

Celeris released the most recent patch 3239 for VP3DL on Thursday, December 14th 2006. If you are a VPHQ tournament player you should make sure to have the correct version before you sign up for your next tournament
