How to play online on Gamespy with VP3DL
The downloadable full-version of VP3 has a different file name for the executable.
That enables us, to have this program and an older Jeanette or Curly CD version installed on the same computer.
We can continue to play our buddies who don't have the new download.

How to set or join a room on Gamespy
To play online either create a game or doubleclick on an existing room to join it.
There are 2 types of rooms:
"Challenge" rooms are open for all players,
in "Normal" rooms the player who set the room / won the last match decides who his opponent(s) will be.
Don't expect to automatically be integrated in the match when you join a "Normal" room.
If you want to play a match, the easiest way is to ask in the Gamespy lobby for an opponent.
To play online on Gamespy you will have to change the Gamepy options.
That makes Gamespy recognize VP3DL. Here is how you do it:
1) Choose 'Options' in the Gamespy menu
2) In the left panel choose 'Games'.
For the game Virtual Pool 3 hit 'Browse'
3) Browse the 'Program Files' directory for the executable vp3dl.exe in folder 'Celeris\VP3DL'.
4) Once you've found it hit 'Open'
5) Don't forget to 'Apply'
After that just hit 'OK' and you are ready to go.
To switch back, simply repeat the steps, instead of for VP3DL, look for VP3.
Have fun.
